DAY 4 - MORE IS WAY BETTER THAN LESS!

Did you ever notice New Year's Resolutions are usually about giving something up (i.e. quitting smoking, no more chocolate, drink less, etc.)? All good things but my resolution this year, 45 minutes a day of activity for 365 days, is definately about doing more! Go big or go home, right?

So Day 4 - still feeling motivated and already feeling a bit more energy in the current sun-free Midwest. Here is a recap of the 45for365 launch!


DAY 1: New Years Eve in Chicago with Andy! New Years Day... Brrrrr, 5K. Luckily the run did not begin until 11am so still had plenty of sleep after that midnight Champagne! We bundled up and it was cold, windy and icey BUT there was SUNSHINE and a great start to the new decade. I felt toasty compares to the crazies we watched afterwards down by the lake taking the POLAR BEAR PLUNGE! After the run we headed out to meet college friends for some well deserved brunch, football, and Bloody Mary(s) (like I said...I'm doing more this year, not less).

DAY 2: Something new! Rock Climbing at Lincoln Park Athletic Club. Become a Fan on Facebook and get a free Climbing Wall Pass (We paid $25 each!). There is a BIG wall with about 5 Ropes set up as well as a Bouldering area. Climbing Harness & Shoes are also available for use at no charge.

RATING: ♥♥♥1/2 - awesome strength training, fun!, SO sore.

DAY 3 & DAY 4: My go-to activity is Spinning. I put in 45 minutes at a gym in Chicago before hitting the road yesterday and then did a class tonight back here in Cleveland. I'd rate both about a ♥♥1/2 as far as spinning classes go.

4 days down - 361 left to go!!
